## ads_insights splits by age, gender and region

19 October 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-10-19-breakdown

On 19 October 2026 ads_insights gained breakdown: every row split by age, gender, age and gender together, country, region or city, one split per call, where the platform reports it.

- Support differs by platform. Meta: age, gender, age_gender, country, region (no city). Google: age and gender at level adset only, country, region and city at account, campaign and ad set level (not per ad), no age_gender. TikTok: age, gender, age_gender, country, region (region is TikTok's province id, with no name), no city. A platform that cannot give the split is left out with a note, or the call is refused naming what each reports. This is the support each platform documents; naming and columns vary by platform and account (TikTok regions come as ids, and Meta region names repeat across countries).
- Each row carries segment (the dimension, the platform's value and a label when the platform gives a name). Spend, impressions, clicks and conversions add up across segments; reach, frequency and people counts are exact for each segment but do not add up to unique people.
- The figures are aggregates read from the platform when asked, and are not stored. At most 1000 rows per account are kept. When there are more, the answer carries truncated: true, and a note says whether the count is exact or a minimum and how the kept rows were chosen. Not combinable with byDay; compare=true reads both periods by segment, and a segment value that repeats within a period (region names repeat across countries) is listed without a change.
- A platform may leave some columns out of a split (Meta, for results and some people counts, for one); such a column reads as not reported, never zero. A value the connector cannot map is listed in a note.

## Google Analytics 4 for every workspace

14 October 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-10-14-google-analytics

On 14 October 2026 Google verified hecigo's app for analytics.readonly, so Google Analytics 4 connects from https://ads.hecigo.com/portal in every workspace (analytics_report, search_traffic_reconcile).

- Google Analytics connects on its own, with read-only access, separately from Google Ads and Search Console. Google no longer shows its unverified-app screen.
- analytics_report returns what happened on the site after the click: sessions, users, engagement, key events and revenue by channel, source, campaign, landing page, device or date, with sampling and thresholding said out loud.
- search_traffic_reconcile puts Google organic sessions in GA4 next to Search Console clicks, by host and page, each gap with its likely causes.
- analytics_properties lists the GA4 properties next to the Search Console sites.

## Google Search Console and video metrics

11 October 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-10-11-search-console-video

On 11 October 2026 hecigo Ads Insights added Google Search Console (search_console_report, analytics_properties) and video metrics in ads_insights.

- Google Search Console connects on its own from https://ads.hecigo.com/portal, with read-only access. search_console_report returns organic Google searches before a visit: clicks, impressions, CTR and position by query, page, country, device or date, with site totals that include the queries Google withholds. analytics_properties lists the connected sites.
- ads_insights returns video metrics: video_views (Google TrueView views, Meta ThruPlays, TikTok 6-second views), trueview_views, thruplays, video_views_2s, video_views_3s, video_views_6s, video_views_30s, video_plays, video_view_rate, the cost per each kind of view, video_p25 to video_p100 with their rates, and average watch time.
- Report tables print campaign, ad and page names in full instead of cutting them.

## Meta messaging counted in people

24 September 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-09-24-messaging-contacts

On 24 September 2026 Meta messaging in ads_insights became a count of people, the way Ads Manager shows it.

- New metrics: new_messaging_contacts, returning_messaging_contacts, messaging_contacts and cost_per_new_messaging_contact. People do not add up across days, so these are read for the whole range in one query.
- Meta answers carry a glossary of the action names in conversionBreakdown, in Ads Manager's words.
- actionTypes reads any other Meta action by name, and metaFields any Ads Insights field.

## Meta Ads connects without help

23 September 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-09-23-meta-open

On 23 September 2026 Meta approved hecigo's app, so Meta Ads connects the same way as Google Ads and TikTok Ads: by the advertiser, on Meta's own consent screen, from https://ads.hecigo.com/portal.

- The permission granted is ads_read, which only reads.
- Before this, a Facebook account outside hecigo's own was refused with "App not active" and hecigo connected it by hand.

**For an AI assistant to see it:** Nothing to do: the tool list did not change.

## Choose which ad accounts are read

17 September 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-09-17-choose-accounts

On 17 September 2026 the portal began listing every ad account each connection reaches, and the workspace chooses which ones are read, up to 10 per platform during the pilot.

- The list is in https://ads.hecigo.com/portal, under each connected platform.
- Answers say when some connected accounts are not read; that is a choice or the limit, not a connection error.

**For an AI assistant to see it:** Nothing to do: the tool list did not change.

## TikTok Ads and Google Ads connect from the portal

15 September 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-09-15-tiktok-google-open

On 15 September 2026 TikTok Ads became connectable from the portal, and every workspace could connect Google Ads on its own once Google verified the app.

- Both connect on the platform's own consent screen; hecigo only reads them.

**For an AI assistant to see it:** Nothing to do: the tool list did not change.

## Conversion value, campaign settings, search terms and Performance Max

13 September 2026 · https://ads.hecigo.com/changelog#2026-09-13-search-terms

On 13 September 2026 ads_insights added conversion value and ROAS, and three tools were added: ads_settings, ads_search_terms and ads_asset_groups.

- ads_insights returns conversion value, ROAS and value per conversion, and takes metrics for extra columns: reach, frequency, cpm, conversion_rate, all conversions, view-through conversions and search impression share.
- ads_settings reads how campaigns and ad sets are set up: bidding strategy with its real target ROAS or CPA, budget, conversion goals, attribution windows, locations, languages, audiences and bid adjustments, plus each Google account's conversion actions.
- ads_search_terms reads Google search terms with spend and conversions, including terms that spent without converting, and Performance Max search categories.
- ads_asset_groups reads Performance Max asset groups with ad strength and results, every asset with its performance label, audience signals and search themes.

**For an AI assistant to see it:** Connections opened before 13 September 2026 show the new tools in a new conversation.
